Middle School Tennis at The Park School of Buffalo

Park is building something special this fall: a middle school tennis program with enough interested players to create our own team and house league.

Very few area middle schools currently have enough players to field a team. Our hope is that Park’s program can grow into a long-term opportunity for students, eventually including regular practices, inter-school matches and a broader middle school tennis league throughout the area.

How This Season Will Work

This fall, our players will participate in an internal house league. We will divide the group into small teams, and players will mix and match against one another throughout the season. This will be very fun and casual!

The house league is designed to welcome players of different experience levels. It will give everyone opportunities to play matches, improve and enjoy being part of a team. Attendance is 100% optional.

On October 3rd we will arrange a one-day 'meet' where a select group of Park students will play against other schools.

Additional practices will take place on separate days. The complete practice schedule and session times will be shared with families shortly.

If the weather cooperates after October 3, we may add more practices, matches or other tennis activities.

What Players Can Expect

Players will have the opportunity to:

• Learn and improve their tennis skills
• Play singles and doubles
• Gain match experience in a friendly environment
• Help establish a tradition we hope will continue growing for years to come

This first season is about getting kids on the court, creating a positive team environment and laying the foundation for a lasting middle school tennis tradition at Park.
